Documentary “Shoulder to Shoulder” about the unity of Serbian and Russian soldiers in the Great War, especially in two battles: on Kajmakcalan and Dobrogea.
“Feature-length documentary ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ in the production of ‘Fix Focus’ and ‘Zastava Film’, which in the language of moving images renews the memory of the brotherhood of weapons of two nations, and should be completed this year. The question is important because it concerns not only the choir’s Russophobic narrative, but also the sad fact that today the crucial help of the Russian people and Tsar from the beginning of the war to 1917 has been almost forgotten, without which attacked Serbia would hardly survive. When we say people and Tsar, we primarily mean the ontological vertical of Russia: help was sincere and fraternal, summed up in a single sentence of Nicholas II: ‘Everything, I will do everything for the Serbian people’. That statement should have stood on the Tsar’s monument in Belgrade, because this was the unanimous position of the whole of Russia at the time when the hostilities began, regardless of the general awareness that Russia was not quite ready for war. We must never forget the causes and inducement of this war, and especially the attitude of the great Orthodox state in the moments of the greatest crisis in the history of the world. If it weren’t for Russia then, there wouldn’t be us either.”
