Monday-Monday / AUGUST 22 – SEPTEMBER 12, 2022 / SASA Gallery of Science and Technology
On Monday, August 22, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., the exhibition “Belgrade: Unveiling A Time Machine” will be opened.
The exhibition will present fourteen locations in the core of Belgrade, which are transposed through contemporary photographs into drawings modeled on photographs of those same locations during the second and third decades of the 20th century. For this purpose, the drawings of Luka M. Mladenović were used. Mladenović, a famous graphic artist and one of the most important chroniclers of interwar Belgrade.
By using virtual and augmented reality techniques, selected locations “come to life” and are enriched with additional content and interesting facts about the location. The revival-transformation from a photo to a drawing is achieved by using a tablet, by simply pointing the same devices at the exhibit-marker and QR code, with the possibility that the visitor can also experience the aforementioned transformation with his mobile device in the same way.
The exhibition will be open in the Gallery of Science and Technology of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts until September 12, 2022.
