Belgrade: Unveiling a Time Machine / Virtual Exhibition /

The exhibition presents fourteen locations in the core of Belgrade, which are transposed through contemporary photographs into drawings modeled on photographs of those same locations during the second and third decades of the 20th century. For this purpose, the drawings of Luka M. Mladenovic were used. Mladenovic, a famous graphic artist and one of the most important chroniclers of interwar Belgrade.
By using virtual and augmented reality techniques, selected locations “come to life” and are enriched with additional content and interesting facts about the location. The revival-transformation from a photo to a drawing is achieved by using a tablet, by simply pointing the same devices at the exhibit-marker and QR code, with the possibility that the visitor can also experience the aforementioned transformation with his mobile device in the same way.
